BOOK REVIEW ON: ONE NIGHT IN DOOM HOUSE
After staying in Max's house for more than half a year, the ghost- Nicky and Tara had finally found some clue to search for their long lost parents.According to their nanny whom they met only at the later part of the story, she was too weak to tell them exactly what had happen to their parents and anyway, she can't remember much things except for the phrase
"Something colder than the grave-that's what you need to find the ghosts"
However, no matter how hard Nicky and Tara try to think, they just can't figure anything out.
Thus, they seek for Max's help.
Max wanted to help them but he had hunch that the answer to this riddle may lie in a haunted house.When Max finally met the evil spirit that lives in he house, his chills of fear turned to red-hot horror.The evil spirit was much more stronger than what Max had ever thought of.
It had the power to even melt anything it wants to.Max was almost one of the victim.
Despite Max's dissuade, Nicky and Tara ignored it. They were determined to find their parents.
Max was very worried that they might not be able to make it back. Even though his mum is against him of going out, he would rather take the risk of being scolded by his mum than to lost his friends for good. He sneaked out of the house and made his way to the haunted house.
When he was at the entrance, he saw his friends being pushed close to the wall. The rest of the ghost in that house were forcing them to a corner and are laughing evilly.Telling them that they are going to be trap in the life pods which what their parents who are scientist had done to them - the evil ghosts.
Anxiously, Max can't think of any good ideas to help them. The only solution he could do is to try to use the snow which is on the ground and try to hit the ghosts.He picked up one and hit them.
The ghosts groaned in pain and slowly one by one they disappeared into thin air.
In the end all of the ghosts had disappeared, even Nicky and Tara.
Max picked up the life pods and try to scream f0r them yet nothing happened.
HE walked home sadly. He had lost both of his besties, for good.
He sat on his bed, starring into the spaces. Suddenly, Nicky and Tara appeared! Max nearly broke into tears. He was delighted. But now both Nicky and Tara thinks that their parents are being trapped in the pods. Max had lost the pods, he didn't know where he had thrown them.
Now he had to search for them again.
But will he be able to find them and let them be united?
